AppendixThe TPM Toolkit

The craft beneath the case — reusable on any migration.

A case study shows one program. The toolkit is what carries forward: the artifact library collected in one place, and the principles that make the difference between running a migration and getting run by one.

The only-ness

What this migration teaches about every migration

Strip away the specifics and these are the reusable truths — the accumulated craft that turns a case study into a way of working.

Behind the walkthrough

How this maps to my experience

This case is a designed reference built around real, accountable program leadership — as the Technical Program Manager running a cross-functional EDW-to-cloud migration end to end, from charter through decommission, not a single workstream inside it. The governance rhythm, the phase gates, and the judgment calls reflect that ownership.

Specific figures — team size, user counts, timeline, object counts — are a representative composite rather than exact reported numbers. The decisions, trade-offs, and artifacts behind them are the real craft of running large, cross-functional data programs, and are defensible in conversation.
